SNCF: Social commitment as a driver of cohesion across all regions
SNCF is a public rail transport group and a key player in mobility in France, with over 217,000 employees across the country. Through its Foundation, created in 1995, the company supports public interest projects in the fields of education, social solidarity, and culture. Since 2022, it has expanded its social commitment program in partnership with Komeet, highlighting the civic involvement of its employees through local impact initiatives.

Before Komeet: many initiatives in place, but a need to better consolidate engagement
For 30 years, the SNCF Foundation has driven the group's social commitment through various formats (skills-based sponsorship, mentoring, solidarity days, etc.). However, with over 217,000 employees across the country, local management and global measurement were becoming a challenge.
In 2022, the Foundation turned to Komeet to replace its engagement platform (in use since 2015) and to structure, centralize, and amplify the impact of its initiatives. The goal: to make engagement visible, facilitate taking action, and bring all formats together into a single tool.
Feedback

“With the help of Komeet, the SNCF Foundation is contributing more than ever to the SNCF Group’s social cohesion, regional development, and inclusion missions throughout France. Through the solidarity and civic engagement of every employee, the Foundation aligns itself with the company’s strategy and values.”
- Laëtitia Gourbeille,
General Delegate of the SNCF Foundation

“The collaboration between Komeet, the SNCF IT department, and the Foundation was highly professional. The team was agile, responsive, understood everyone’s needs, and collectively found solutions to succeed in this essential milestone, despite a very tight timeframe and a reticent outgoing provider.”
- Christian SERVY,
Project Manager within the Safety, Security, and Risk Department
